What kinds of organizations can compete in a Shelter Challenge? Follow
Your shelter, rescue organization, or foster organization must be a 501(c)3 or international equivalent or a recognized municipal or county shelter.
Initial application screening and approval to compete in the Shelter Challenge does not guarantee an organization's eligibility to collect a prize. Winners will be asked to submit a grant application in order to be awarded their prize. Those who fail to provide the proper documentation as requested by Greater Good Charities will be disqualified as outlined in the rules.
This is incredibly important, not only in order to ensure that the grants are being used responsibly, but also to ensure the Shelter Challenge and everyone supporting it is acting in accordance with the rules, intention of the program, and the law.
