Why am I seeing political or inappropriate ads? Follow
Network advertising on GreaterGood sites helps cover the costs of running the site. With network advertising, publishers don’t actually get to pick every advertiser that runs on their sites or even the content of the individual advertisements. Rather, they choose what categories of advertisers they want the ad networks to block. We do not accept advertising for gambling, animal breeders, pornography, liquor, firearms, or tobacco products. We do not accept ads we believe to be deceptive, ads from spammers, politically charged and biased ads, or ads inappropriate to our mission. We do our best to only display advertisements from reputable brands, filtering out all sensitive categories and individual advertiser’s URLs that the filters might not catch.
The best way to help us block an inappropriate or politically charged ad is to send the URL and a screenshot of the ad to editorial@greatergood.com. You can right-click the ad to copy the URL, and you can use the "snipping tool" in Windows or command+shift+4 on a Mac to activate a selection tool that will create a screenshot. With this information, we will be much better equipped to find the offending advertiser among the many legitimate ads that appear, and block it from our sites. We genuinely appreciate your help, and value your feedback.
